Workshops A
(Friday, February 9 @ 2:30pm)
1. Marks of Discipleship – the 6 marks of a disciple taken from Glenn McDonald’s book, The Disciple Making Church, with the emphasis on how God grows people in each of these disciplines: a heart for Christ alone, a mind transformed by the Word, arms of love, knees for prayer, a voice to speak the Good News, a spirit of servanthood and stewardship.

2. Prayer and It’s Various Expression – a general information session introducing various aspects of prayer ministry will be followed by open time interacting with individuals from the different ministries: meet prayer shawl knitters, make a set of prayer beads, meet the healing prayer ministry team, or sit with a prayer partner who will pray with and for you.

3. Leading by Being Led– real transformation in our congregations will happen only when we begin in prayer and are willing to be led by the Spirit. This may make life in a congregation messy as there is a shift from a traditional council/committee structure to a spiritual style of leadership, but the results can free us to do ministry in new ways.

Workshops B
(Friday, February 9 @ 4:00pm)
1. Discipleship Triads - a relational discipleship journey of 3-4 individuals that allows the Holy Spirit to bring about accelerated growth in a believer through the elements of God’s Word studied in transparent relationships with mutual accountability.

2. What Do You Mean, "Change"? – geared towards church leaders, this workshop will look at the struggle involved in trying to shift a congregational culture from membership to discipleship. It will look at the journey toward a congregational sense of mission, a spirit-led process that takes time and may require dying to your own idea of what church should be. It will touch on the leadership shift and spiritual growth that help lead change in a congregation.

3. Discipleship Pathways for Children and Youth – this workshop chronicles our journey from "Learning Committee" to intentional family-centered ministry. We look forward to sharing what we've learned along the way, and hearing about what God is accomplishing in your ministry efforts.

Workshops C
(Saturday, February 10 @ 10:45am)
1. What Do You Mean, "Contemporary"? – why approaches to worship matter in the church's relationship with the culture. What is "contemporary" worship, exactly? How-to's of worship service planning; graphics design and projection; music selection, preparation and presentation.

2. Gifted for the Call– this workshop will focus on understanding your call as living out your faith in your daily life. Your whole life is a call: your job, your family life, and your ministry in and outside the church. It will look at tools that can help you to understand your gifts, as well as discuss how you can tell if your gifts, your call, and how you are living are all in concert. Finally, it will discuss ministry by giftedness.

3. Global Mission and Local Congregations – the path of discipleship rightfully leads to evangelism and mission, as we joyously desire to carry the good news to others in word and service. This workshop will look at why congregations should engage in global mission work, how to get involved, and what are the benefits.
